University Pathways
Peace Lutheran College has an exceptional record of producing academically talented students in readiness for entry to university.
Our students have access to experienced staff who can support and guide them towards achieving the necessary requirements to gain entry into their chosen university course.
During year 12, students attend university experience days to gain greater insight and understanding about university life and expectations. University representatives also visit our students to offer first-hand advice and knowledge about specific courses and entry requirements.
Start University at High School
Some universities offer programs to Year 11 and 12 secondary students.
These opportunities are offered through CQU's SUN Program and JCU's JCU Now. Several of our students have commenced their university courses through these programs whilst undertaking their senior studies.
These programs allow students the opportunity to fast-track their university studies while still at school which may lead to offers of a direct entry to their university course.
Our Careers Guidance Officer works with students providing advice and direction on these types of opportunities, helping them make a head start on their tertiary studies beyond school. Students who are interested in kick-starting their university studies whilst still at school are encouraged to speak with our Careers Guidance Officer for more information and eligibility.
