Learning Centre
Our Learning Centre's vision is to be a welcoming and dynamic, student-created environment, providing resources, activities, and services to stimulate, facilitate, and nurture learning in a connected, digital, and global context.
The Learning Centre welcomes all students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and is the hub of learning within the school. It provides a variety of print and digital resources to support the curriculum and to encourage a love of reading
Services provided
Our Resource Centre Coordinator provides the following programs and services:
- Information literacy, research, and referencing skills
- Access to digital databases, e-books, and e-audio books via the Learning Centre website
- Access to a large selection of recreational reading within the Learning Centre
- Weekly library classes for Primary and Junior Secondary students
- Library skills, storytime, and board games, and puzzles
- Book Week activities such as book reports, author visits, and the book parade
- Participation in external literacy-based programs such as Reader's Cup, KidzLit Quiz, and the Premier's Reading Challenge
- Fundraising through Book Fair and Book Club
- Textbook hire
The Learning Centre is open from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday during term time.
