Lutheran Church
Australian and New Zealand Lutherans are part of the largest Protestant church in the world.
The Lutheran Church of Australia
The Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA) is a mainstream Christian church, established in northern Europe at the time of the Reformation in the 16th century, and first established in South Australia in 1838.
Lutherans believe that God loves everyone and that His love comes to life in us, through Jesus, long before we know it or feel it. We believe that we are saved by grace, for Christ's sake, through faith, which means there is nothing we can do to earn God's favour or to gain eternal life. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has won all this and more for us.
There are over 70 million Lutherans from every continent and hundreds of cultural groups. Whoever you are, whatever your story, you are welcome here with us.
