The College is inviting Expressions of Interest from Administration Officers and Learning Assistants to join our casual relief team.
Peace Lutheran College (Peace) is a co-educational Kindy to Year 12 day and boarding school located in beautiful Cairns in tropical North Queensland. The College provides an inclusive, multi-cultural educational environment where excellence is pursued, relationships are valued and where Christ is central.
Applications are invited from casual relief Administration Officers and Learning Assistants who are passionate about providing support within a school environment.
Administration Officers
Ideal for administrators who enjoy working in a fast paced environment that provides a variety of challenging and rewarding work, and who can demonstrate:
- A commitment to excellence in customer service
- Experience working in a dynamic office environment
- Expert face to face, written and telephone customer service skills
- Reliability and flexibility as you manage competing priorities in your day
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
Learning Assistants
Learning Assistants, under the direction of teaching staff and the Learning Support team, support students with additional learning needs within the classroom. The College offers a culturally diverse and inclusive working environment, and is seeking casual Learning Assistants with experience in the following area/s to join the team:
- Working with students in small, differentiated groups
- Supporting literacy and numeracy programs
- Working with students with disabilities
- Working inclusively with students and values individual differences
- Preparing resources and materials
- General classroom administration
- Flexibility to work across all areas of the College (Prep – Year 12) is highly desirable
