Peace Lutheran College (Peace) is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school located in beautiful Cairns in tropical North Queensland. About the Role
Peace is looking for a collaborative Boarding Supervisor to join our Boarding team. Boarding Supervisor positions are highly suited to individuals who are passionate about actively engaging with young people in a culturally diverse environment, and understand the importance of providing a supportive and caring environment for our students who are living away from home. Duties include the supervision of boarding students and assisting the boarders where required in the homework program.
The successful applicant must demonstrate a capacity and willingness to engage with the Christian ethos of our College.
Position Details
- Supervision required within the boys' boarding houses
- Weekday shifts required
- Weekend shifts required
- Sleepover shifts required
Criteria
- Current working with children Blue card or be able to obtain
- Current Senior First Aid certificate, or ability to obtain one
- Current driver's license
- Experience within a boarding community or with adolescents in a similar setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop students
- Excellent manner in liaising with staff, students, parents and the wider College community
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
